im the alpha dog

You are DAVE STRIDER and you are 24 YEARS OLD. You remember almost NOTHING about the BETA session. You BARELY REMEMBER that it even HAPPENED. Now you RAISE your KID BRO and work as a PROFESSIONAL DJ. Screw what people say you make good MONEY.
You go trough each DAY looking for SOMETHING but you don't know WHAT. You feel LOST but you keep on. You have to, otherwise NO ONE would be able to TEACH your BRO about the ways of IRONY. Your chumhandle remains TURNTECHGODHEAD though you rarely use it anymore. You should probably GIVE UP SMOKING. Oh well.

He couldn’t help the smile that spread quickly over his lips. Just seeing for himself that Dave was alright helped him relax, a sigh of relief escaping him. He really needed to stop taking his dreams so seriously, what with having them before he had even met Dave (this Dave, mind you), there was no way that they really meant something bad. They were just nightmares, caused by the fact that he had lost one of the closest people to him.

Entering the house, he couldn’t help but to stare for a moment. The lightning lighting the house up, letting him get a good look at his friend. John was actually just staring at the other’s eyes, and he took the time to wonder if the other Dave’s eyes were that colour as well.

Despite calling Dave his best friend, there was a lot that he never knew about the boy. His ‘big brother’, eye colour, favourite food. Just little things that John often found himself wondering about.

In actuality, John had planned to see if Dave (and everyone else) wanted to visit his home after the game was won. He had asked Jade and Rose before the final battle, but of course fate decided to give him a kick in the rear, and take Dave away before he could ask.

Finally breaking his gaze away from the other’s eyes, he took a glance around the dark house. His eyes locked on a dog on the couch. Good, at least the blond man wasn’t completely alone here. Looking back to his friend, he idly scratched the back of his head.

“Heheh, bet my texts must’ve seemed weird, huh? Sorry about that, I just had a bad feeling and I wanted to make sure you were okay.” Might as well throw that out there to start everything off.

He gave him enough time to look into his eyes before he turned to shut his door and lock it. Dave assumed no one would be coming in or out for the rest of the night so he bolted it up, moving off to close the curtain at the window and motion towards the couch for John before he sit down.

He scratched Auto’s back, gaining little response from him as he drew his knees up to his knees up to his chest again and turned the television down, just glad he had some company over. He needed the human contact now, this is what he needed. This is what had to happen for him to calm down.

He gave a quick glance over towards John before sighing and looking down, eyes illuminating again without a care or second thought of their exposure. He didn’t really care, he was too distressed to want to. Would you want to care at a moment of high stress?

“Ah, no it’s cool, I can understand that. It’s not a problem. Personally I’m slightly glad you texted.” His cool was dropped but there was still a lack of fucks being given at that time. It was too much to have to worry about keeping up appearances such as a cool kid facade.

That wasn’t him.

It hurt to sit there with someone who claimed he had known you for so long and you were best friends but to not know...
